ASHBURN, Va. — The Washington Commanders welcomed thousands of fans back to the BigBear.ai Performance Center on Saturday for the third practice of 2026 training camp, part of the NFL’s annual Back Together Weekend celebration.
Quarterback Jayden Daniels, wide receiver Terry McLaurin and defensive tackle Daron Payne worked through drills as coach Dan Quinn’s team opened camp to the public. Daniels, who returned to full practice reps this summer after missing the final four games of last season with an elbow injury, moved comfortably through team periods under sunny skies in Loudoun County.
Saturday’s session doubled as a fan-appreciation event, with the Commanders Kids Zone, alumni meet-and-greets and mascot appearances lining the practice field. Several players lingered after practice to sign autographs and pose for photos with family members and young fans, a tradition the team has leaned into since moving camp to the BigBear.ai Performance Center.
Players and coaches also sat for interviews following the session as the Commanders continue building toward two more marquee camp dates this month.
Camp continues through mid-August, with Military Appreciation Day set for Aug. 7 and Kids Day following on Aug. 8, as the Commanders build toward the start of the preseason.
