ASHBURN, Va. — Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders worked through full pads for the fourth practice of 2026 training camp Monday at the BigBear.ai Performance Center, with the reigning starter and rookie linebacker Sonny Styles continuing to draw early praise from teammates and coaches.
Camp has been tightly controlled through the first four sessions, with the team limiting media access to certain periods and declining to detail specific alignments or play calls as position battles take shape across the roster. Daniels, entering his third season under center, has looked sharp running the offense, while Styles, Odafe Oweh and Antonio Williams have drawn early notice on defense. Wide receiver Treylon Burks has also stood out as Washington looks to round out its receiving corps behind the starters.
Monday’s session included full-contact drills along with special-teams and one-on-one work, with the offense and defense trading big moments throughout practice. Tuesday’s session is the fifth practice of camp and is exclusive to season ticket members, with the workout beginning at 8:30 a.m. and gates opening an hour earlier. The Commanders are holding training camp at their Ashburn headquarters for a fifth consecutive year, with five sessions open to the general public and six more reserved for season ticket members.
Washington’s preseason opener is set for Aug. 14 against the Miami Dolphins at Northwest Stadium, with kickoff at 7 p.m., as camp battles continue to sort out the roster over the next two weeks.
