LONG POND, Pa. — Chase Briscoe finally cashed in on a breakout season, holding off Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Denny Hamlin over the final 34 laps to win The Great American Getaway 400 at Pocono Raceway. Briscoe led a race-best 72 of 160 laps in his No. 19 Toyota and had to perfectly manage fuel with Hamlin — Pocono’s all-time winningest driver — pushing him the entire way, ultimately taking the checkered flag by .682 seconds for his third career Cup win and a spot in the 2025 Playoffs.
Hamlin, who started on the pole and won Stage 1, extended his own remarkable record at the track to 10 top-two finishes in 36 Pocono starts. Ryan Blaney rallied from the back of the field after post-qualifying adjustments to finish third despite a cool-suit malfunction in the summer heat, while Chris Buescher and Chase Elliott rounded out the top five. The result closed out Pocono’s NASCAR tripleheader weekend and pushed Briscoe into the 16-driver Playoff field as the sixth first-time winner in eight weeks.
All-Pro Reels was on the ground for the celebration on pit road as the Cup Series wrapped its stop at the Tricky Triangle.

The Cup Series moves on to EchoPark Speedway for a Saturday night start to the In-Season Challenge.
